The NASCAR Week That Was: May 22-28

In this second week in Charlotte it was an off-track issue that dominated the news. Kyle Busch was caught Tuesday doing 128MPH in a 45MPH zone on a rural highway in Mooresville, N.C. Busch apologized in a statement following the incident and then during media availability later in the week. In other news, Kimi Raikkonen said this week he’d like to run a Sprint Cup road course race but did little to shed light on his future NASCAR plans. Following his Nationwide run Saturday night, the Finn headed back to Europe. And finally, the NASCAR Hall of Fame inducted its second class this week. Immortalized in the Hall were Ned Jarrett, David Pearson, Bud Moore, Bobby Allison and Lee Petty. This is the NASCAR week that was, May 22 to 28, 2011.
