It was an off weekend for the Cup Series, but the boys in the Nationwide and Truck Series took to the track in Nashville. The weekend was swept by Cup regulars, Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch. In other news, Hendrick Motorsports announced this week, Mark Martin and Jimmie Johnson would be driving special cars at the All Star race in a few weeks. Martin will drive a #25 car honoring Tim Richmond, and Johnson will drive a #5 car to celebrate a Lowe’s promotion. This is the NASCAR week that was, April 17 to 23, 2011.

Hmmmm…they weren’t forced down there and the 88 is even lower than the 48…they both advanced position…but for some reason the rules don’t apply in this situation…

Don’t get me wrong, I like the 48 and 88 as much as any of them and personally would like to see a rule change so a painted line doesn’t affect the outcome of a race. But under the current rules the line is something that can and has caused changes to the outcome…but just not in this case for some unknown reason.
