The Cup cars are off this weekend, but there were plenty of fireworks on track. Kevin Harvick led a dominating performance during the postponed truck race (due to power issues) Saturday afternoon. It was the Nationwide race though that’ll have everyone talking next week. On the final lap, after battling for a portion of the race, familiar enemies Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski made contact with each other. It was Keselowski who paid the price though as Edwards turned him just before the start/finish line. Edwards won the race, while Keselowski took a trip to the infield care center. Keselowski was OK. And finally in their first big move since announcing the NASCAR Teams Licensing Trust, NASCAR announced Lionel Trains would take over the diecast car business from Motorsports Authentics. This is the NASCAR week that was, July 11 to 17, 2010.

Carl Edwards did what he needed to do to win this race!!! Way to go Carl!!! Bob Keselowski needs to realize that Carl would NEVER try to kill a soul. I know it may have been in the heat of the moment but he should have thought over that comment. Good Job Carl! Lets win at INDY next weekend!!! May I mention that INDY is the best track on the circuit?
mess with the bull GET THE HORNS.
Poor lil bradley started trouble TOO EARLY, and then allowed Carl to sit back and wait for his prey, like a seasoned vet. Sure it was a dirty wrecking move on Carl’s part, but the last 30 laps of that race had several instances of dirty moves.
I wonder why lil bradeypooh’s daddy was even on camera. I dont care what he has to say and I blame the camera people too. Pops is nobody and it is TMZ type journalism to even interview him. Pappa would be smart to lay low. But beings he opened his yap … What does it even mean he will get back in a car an settle this?, what a doofus. Stay off camera pops because you look silly.
If lil bradley wants to man up and pay back on the track, then so be it, but OFFTRACK POST RACE TALK IS CHEAP, esp if it is your daddy doing the talking.
Poor lil bwadley put a babybump on a vet in a corner at the end of a race and then allowed that vet to stay in the race, so he should have anticipated and deflected Carls move on him.
Have at it boys.
Hey Carl, dude if you are going to retaliate (and I’m not sayin’ you shouldn’t have)….at least learn to bump him in the turn. To pile dive him on the front straight just makes you look like a sore loser. I’d hate to see your career over for legal reasons when your victim doesn’t wake up.
Neon, wouldnt Brad be the “sore” loser?
if anything Carl would be the “sore” winner ; )
And upon rewatching the race finish ….
it sure was kind of the other drivers to “assist” Brad across the finish line so he did not lose any more places ; )
And thirdly,
I am not playing favorites here,
I am not really a Carl or Brad fan…..
SOOoooooo ….. when Brad pays Carl back, Mr Edwards has no room to complain (but he probably will)
Carl has it coming to him, and I am betting he will get it, sooner or later.
I wonder….
Has there ever been an instance of
“career over for legal reasons”?
I know some NHL players have had legal action brought for on ice activity, but I can not recall if it has ever occured in NASCAR.
Garry-Because Cousin Carl couldn’t get back in front of BK down the back straight, thru 3 or thru 4 (and believe me he had his chances to either pass BK or give him a nudge prior to the crime scene) it just made it look as through CE said “ok he has beat me but I’m gonna take him out before the finish.” So, my point was that Carl was in position to be the loser had the race finished w/ actual racing and not bumper cars.
I do think, however, we are in agreement that neither of these guys are tops on our list.
