It was an old name that led the news this week. In it’s second major drug related penalty in a year, NASCAR suspended two-time Nationwide Series champion Randy Lajoie after he tested positive for marijuana. Lajoie immediately apologized for what he said was a one-time incident. In other news, Bobby Labonte left TRG Motorsports after less than half a season with the team. Labonte said he was not OK with the team’s recent move to starting and parking. And finally, the National Stock Car Racing Appeals Panel upheld the penalties against Front Row Motorsports’ #38 team. Front Row argued ‘rogue elements’ of the team were responsible for the bleeder valves found on their car at Pocono. This is the NASCAR week that was June 20 to 26, 2010.
