The NASCAR Week That Was: April 4-10

The Cup Series was off last weekend, but the Truck and Nationwide Series’ didn’t get a vacation. The weekend was good to the owner/drivers as Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick went to victory lane. The big story though was Jason Leffler who took full advantage of NASCAR’s ‘boys, have at it’ policy as he paid back James Buescher. NASCAR put Leffler on probation for three races. This is the NASCAR week that was April 4 to 10, 2010.

I read the SI piece on Shane Hmiel and I like his attitude. He’s getting his life back & he knows how precious that is. He was shocked that he got a 2nd chance in NASCAR & doesn’t expect to return. I don’t think he deserves another chance. But what’s most important is he’s happy & clean. At 29, he’s got a big future in racing & life.
