The NASCAR Week That Was: Dec. 27-Jan. 2

Happy New Year everyone! Another holiday week meant another typically slow news week in this NASCAR off-season. Furniture Row and Front Row topped the headlines this week. Travis Kvapil announced Thursday he would drive full time for Front Row Motorsports in 2010. The team is also expected to field Kevin Conway as a Rookie of the Year candidate (so far the only one for 2010) and switch their manufacturer to Ford. Furniture Row Racing hired former RPM executive Mark McCardle as their director of competition. The team also hired Ryan Coniam as the crew chief for the #78. And finally we want to send our best wishes to racing legend Red Farmer who was hospitalized last week with double pneumonia. Get well soon! This is the NASCAR week that was December 27, 2009 to January 2, 2010.
