The NASCAR Week That Was: Dec. 13-19

Danica-mania continued this week as she took her first laps around the Daytona International Speedway. Patrick will make her stock car debut at Daytona in February with plans to make her NASCAR debut in either Daytona or California. ESPN announced this week Marty Reid would replace Jerry Punch as play-by-play announcer for ESPN’s Sprint Cup Series races beginning late summer 2010. And finally this week the former owners of Kentucky Speedway dropped plans to move forward with their lawsuit against NASCAR after the US Appeals Court for the Sixth Circuit ruled in favor of NASCAR. This is the NASCAR week that was December 13 to 19, 2009.
