From Danica to Jimmie, this second week of the off-season wrapped up some old storylines and opened up some new ones for the year to come. NASCAR crowned their champion this week in Las Vegas. For the first time fans were in attendance as Jimmie Johnson accepted his fourth straight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship. On Monday Danica Patrick ended some speculation surrounding her by officially announcing her plans with Andretti Autosport (formerly Andretti-Green Racing). No NASCAR plans were part of the announcement, but a flub on her Web site indicated JR Motorsports may soon have a new driver. And finally confirmation came this week about the 2010 plans of Kyle Busch Motorsports. The team’s new Director of Operations, Rick Ren, told Sirius Speedway’s Dave Moody an official announcement would come next week. This is the NASCAR week that was November 29 to December 5, 2009.
