After a season of struggles, Richard Childress Racing led the headlines this week as they made some personnel changes in an effort to help performance. Todd Berrier, previously the #07 crew chief, will move to the #31, Doug Randolph, who started out the year with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing and was most recently the crew chief for Childress’ Nationwide effort, will move to the #07 and Dan Deeringhoff will assume Randolph’s old role on the Nationwide team. In Mayfield news, the US Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth District sent NASCAR’s appeal of Mayfield’s injunction back to the Federal District Court in Charlotte, where it is expected to be rescinded. And finally Aric Almirola made news this week after filing paperwork in North Carolina Superior Court indicating a breach of contract dispute with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing. This is the NASCAR week that was October 18 to 24, 2009.
