As NASCAR rolls into Charlotte for the second time this season, the new Hall of Fame led the news this week. The sport’s legends, dignitaries and media members came together on Wednesday to decide the Hall’s first five inductees. The group, along with input from a fan vote, selected Bill France Sr., Bill France Jr., Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt and Junior Johnson. In other news, Richard Childress said this weekend that more changes would soon be coming to his organization. RCR has struggled throughout this season to get a hold on the COT. And finally Forbes named International Speedway Corporation CEO Lesa France Kennedy the most powerful woman in sports. This is the NASCAR week that was October 11 to 17, 2009.
