Wasn’t it last year (maybe the year before) Dodge was saying it was racing one model, but it actually was a different model. Seem to remember it had to do with the nose. Robby G. got caught with the “wrong” nose, which was really the “correct” nose according to the rulebook.

I believe either last year or the year before Dodge ran both the Charger and Avenger models. Maybe that was because both had been approved with Charger being the older model. Then if I remember right Dodge switched back to the Charger full time the next year.

Regarding Question #2, didn’t James Finch run the #9 car with two different manufacturers this season? Did he have to get special permission or make arrangements to do so before the season began?
