In the car dealership cases, they are usually not really the owner.
Its more like the dealer is using their name to sell cars.

Its like backwards arena naming rights. They pay you.

It's really great (and important) to see some of the big guys like Stewart, Schrader, Kahne, Evernham, Wallace, etc. give back to the local short track racers.

Short tracks are struggling and they need a little "boost" from the pros that gots the money.

They don't have to do it... it's the choice they make.

Guard, it will be shown before the Brickyard 400, to kick start ESPN's Na$crap race coverage.
Could it be that Jr might need to concentrate on driving duties at hand before shifting too much focus away?
Now I'm not knockin Jr the man, but I'm just say'in......
Maybe time spent dissecting race set-ups and strategies 24/7 and such could be time well spent.

Don't forget Robby Gordon. He's run his own Cup team for several years now, building all of his own cars. He also owns Robby Gordon Offroad that builds off-road race vehicles, including his own Chevy Trophy Truck that he races (currently 1st place in the SCORE off-road championship). Robby Gordon wheels are very successful for trucks and off-road vehicles, as are Robby Gordon Shocks.

Oh, and then there's Team Dakar USA, going head--to-head against the massive factory teams of Volkswagen, BMW, and Mitsubishi. It's a huge logistical endeavour to outfit, ship, and race a massive 2 Hummer self contained race team to run across deserts and mountains for two weeks with no outside assistance.
