It was an odd week in the world of NASCAR news. The race (or rather the finish) at Talladega looked to be the story of the week. Brad Keselowski captured his first Cup Series win and Carl Edwards was sent sailing into the catch fence. That was until we learned Tuesday veteran NASCAR writer David Poole had died of a heart attack. The 50-year-old motorsports journalist had been on the beat for the Charlotte Observer for 13 years. Poole was buried in his native Gastonia, N.C. Thursday. This is the NASCAR week that was April 26 to May 2, 2009.
