An ill-timed April Fools joke led the chatter this week. Car and Driver reported Wednesday President Barack Obama had ordered Chrysler and General Motors out of NASCAR. The report turned out to be a joke. In other news, the Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that NASCAR will move its banquet to the city this year. The event has been held in New York City since 1981. And finally Lee Spencer at Fox is reporting Camping World could be out as the title sponsor of the Truck Series at the end of the season. They joined the series this year after long time title sponsor Craftsman left. This is the NASCAR week that was March 29 to April 4, 2009.
