After months of anxiety and anticipation, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season kicked off. After a sunny and warm week, the clouds and rain rolled into Daytona Beach on Sunday. Ultimately Matt Kenseth won a rain shortened Daytona 500. What followed was a week of controversy, as people discussed the rain delay and the late race collision between Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brian Vickers. The Cup cars take the track at California Sunday at 5 p.m. This is the NASCAR week that was February 15 to 21, 2009.
