We found out a short time ago that NASCAR has suspended a Cup Series crew member for violating the substance abuse policy. In my Monday post, I let everyone know that I’d heard somebody had tested positive, and apparently it was true.
NASCAR’s new drug testing policy calls for testing of as many as 14 randomly selected people during each race weekend. This includes both drivers and crew members. Daytona was the first race these new rules were in effect.
I’ve got to tell you, this is one of those rumors you hate to hear is true. I’d like to think nobody is dumb enough to show up to a track with something in their system. But at least NASCAR is following through and helping to ensure that people who are under the influence aren’t allowed at the track.
Hey buddy, nice job being the very first guy to test positive…

TC, This should open he eyes of anybody who is using that junk, Basically NASCAR tested as they promised, The did what they said they were going to do. (Suspension) So now its up to who ever may be dumb enough to use the junk, Is it really worth your job?? I say not. Keep up the good,,,er Great work NASCAR. Clean House.
Sadly there are, without a doubt, several “clean” hard working crew members let go in the off season that lost their job to offender #1.
