The NASCAR Week That Was: Feb. 8-14

Regular season racing returned to the World Center of Motorsports this week. The Camping World Truck Series kicked off the year on Friday with unsponsored Todd Bodine winning his second straight Daytona race. On Saturday, Tony Stewart won his first race of the season in the Nationwide Series with Hendrick Motorsports. In other news, as the Cup cars prepared for the Daytona 500, new tire problems appear to be emerging. The issues surfaced during the Duels and may have claimed Ryan Newman and Tony Stewart as its first victims (Goodyear does not think so). This is the NASCAR week that was, February 8 to 14, 2009.
