The NASCAR Week That Was: Jan. 25-31

Just one week until racing returns to Daytona and the news continues to flow out of the sport. NASCAR finally announced this week the cost saving plans for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. They are limiting the number of active crew members to 12 and the number over the wall to five. This means the teams will not be able to take gas and tires on the same stop. In other news, Randy Moss Motorsports announced this week that they would field two Toyota trucks next season with former BDR drivers Tayler Malsam and Mike Skinner. The team has fielded Chevrolets since the 2001 season. Confirmation also came this week that John Andretti would be driving the fourth EGR car at Daytona. EGR officials say the current plan is for that to be their only race together. This is the NASCAR week that was January 25 to 31, 2009.
