As the only black driver to ever win a race at the top level he dealt with incredible obstacles......and with almost no support from NASCAR. He did have help from people like the Wood Brothers and Ned Jarrett. .........it's all in the book about Wendell. It's a book young drivers and all of us can learn from. Wendell Scott's number 34_ never has anyone done so much with so little. Today’s young diversity drivers need the sheer will power that Wendell Scott had. NASCAR already has far too many PR people pretending to be drivers while real RACERS can't get a break. This un-equal equal treatment needs to stop, hard work, talent and desire should be the ONLY things a racer is judged on and hired for. Thats how it needs to start as it has started for almost every other driver out there. But the exposure to a more diverse crowd is what is needed to make the program really work.
