Well, I would much rather sit on 10 year old seats than concrete or metal benches. Believe it or not, they were fairly comfortable. I had not visited Charlotte before this year. Of the 5 locations I sat it, the "new" seats were the most comfortable, but not with the best view.

So yes, Smith may have saved some money by buying used seats, but he did make the seating more comfortable than sitting on concrete. The only problem I would have with this arrangement is if some other less wealthy entity needed and wanted those seats and buying used was the only way that they could afford them.

If you check, one track (and it might be the new ZMax Dragway) bought their grandstands from another track (Rockingham?). I can't remember the details of that transaction, but it did happen.

Do we really need 3 major races a year at Lowe's? With all the money he's making you'd think fixing up the track would be top of the list. There are a few other tracks that would love to have just one of those dates, and several that should not have a date at all.

Does anyone really enjoy the races at California, Chicago, and Pocono? Phoenix with 2 races makes no sense either. Bring back 2 Darlington races, one at Rockingham, and one at North Wilksboro.
