NASCAR operates unlike almost any other sport in the world today. It is a people dependent industry and for the thousands who keep the circus running week to week a job in the sport can be one of the most exciting, frustrating things they will ever do. A few weeks ago I wrote about the ups and downs of a career in NASCAR (The NASCAR Life: The Job), highlighting some of the positions and the rigor that goes into every one. If you were one of the readers who read that post and still wanted to learn how you could break into the sport, listen up! For the next couple of weeks I will be posting some tips for finding that dream job in NASCAR.
I will cover what not to do to get that job, which one of the schools is the best for landing that dream position and what you can do to enhance your chances at breaking down the door of the NASCAR fortress.
Our goal here at The NASCAR Insiders is to provide you with the best information from beyond pit road and the shop viewing areas. We want to give you the insight that is not available anywhere else on the internet. And part of that is to give you some tips, if you are interested, on how to end up in our shoes.
Throughout this series I encourage you, our readers, to send us questions and comments regarding the posts. If you have a helpful hint, a fun story, or if you would like some advice both T.C. and I will be here to help you out.
My first post will be available tomorrow evening (Wednesday June 25th) and I will cover what not to do to land that job. I look forward to this series of posts, and hope that we can get you on the right track to a NASCAR career.
*As a little disclaimer we here at The NASCAR Insiders make no guarantees that with these tips you will find a job. The posts will serve merely as helpful information for tracking down a position.

I used Race City Resumes and attended the Get Into Racing Seminar. Both were a huge waste and I just chalk my time and money spent as stupid tax to vultures. I have a job now with a Cup team and it came through personal connections. Good luck in your search.

To Cup Engineer,
Thank you for listing two things not to do. I hope readers take heed of your comments and save themselves times and money.
Now that you have a job in this field, would you mind sharing some things that you recommend job seekers do to better their chances of finding a job?

I too have been trying to secure a position in IT within the NASCAR community. What I keep hearing is that most IT operations are outsourced. Can anyone confirm this?
