First of all I just want to echo the sentiments of my counterpart and welcome everyone to our new venture. We’re really excited at the opportunity to bring you something different than what is out there, and we really hope that you’ll engage in a dialogue with us.

A little more about me. I was born outside of the NASCAR community and started out my life as a race fan just like many of you. Today I remain a race fan, but have had the excellent opportunity to experience the sport from the inside.

It is always hard to tell people who don’t understand the sport what it is like living in the community. The topic of conversation at my dinner table was and is always pertaining to racing; be it about someone’s day, what setups they were using for the weekend, or the latest gossip they had heard, it is non-stop. This is a cliche, but for me it really isn’t just a sport, it’s a lifestyle.

My experience writing commentary and news for NASCAR related Web sites and time spent in the front office of a team have given me great opportunities to connect with fans and I really look forward to more of that with The NASCAR Insiders.

I like to think I know what I’m talking about and I hope that I can provide you with information that is unlike anything that is out there.

As we go along we will be covering news and rumors, but we will also carry commentary, opinion and stories from our experiences. We also really hope that you’ll be writing us with questions about the sport, the community and if you have criticism for us, please let us know. Lastly thanks for visiting and welcome!
